Aawarka Mosque
Details

Located in Goaldihi union No. 6 in Khansama upazila, the district information office has found that the mosque was built about two and a half hundred years ago in the mosque of Bengal aiming to pray for the Muslim community in Mirza Lal Vege Muslim community. A mosque designed on a wall built on a chic brick is located on the eastern side of the Belan river, in Mirzar ground. Older people in the area thought that there were Muslim settlements around the mosque at one time. For this reason, the historic mosque was built here and they went away from the surrounding area of the mosque or for some reason during the British government. As a result, it remains untouched for a long time. Later, due to lack of reform, the mosque continued to be destroyed gradually.

However, a primary school was established in the field of Mirza Lal Beag around the mosque. Which later became recognized as a government institution. In addition to the initiative of locals at the same place, another educational institution was established in the name of the Mazar Awakka Mosque, Niman Secondary School.

Interestingly, no one can say who has named the name of Mirza Sahib at the time of establishment of the mosque. As people walked through the mosque, they used to echo in loudly from the middle part of the mosque. So, they think the mosque is answering their words. From this the name of the mosque is called aokka mosque (ie the mosque). While still passing through it, I can say the sound of echo and hear the echo. But because the wall of the mosque was damaged and its weeds are full of noise, it does not sound like the previous one.

It is not known how many last prayers have been performed in the mosque despite discussing with many elderly people of the area.

However, Mirza Lal Beg is the only two institutions of bright light in the field, but no one is seen in the government's non-government organization or religious religious scholars against the only archaeological heritage and historical aukka mosque in the upazila. As a result, the remains of the mosque still remains destroyed.
